The Ukulele Cosmos has played a vital role in bringing together the worldwide ukulele community since 2005.  As a forerunner to the numerous ukulele websites now available, it was originally established to provide an open discussion platform to connect uke players across the globe.  At a time when meeting other players was a rare occurrence (you could quite possibly have counted the number of players in the UK using only a couple of hands!), and any information on instrument makers was as rare as hens' teeth, the Ukulele Cosmos forum quickly became an invaluable font of knowledge.  This knowledge was provided by highly respected collectors, talented players and news came directly from the string makers and luthiers.  This tradition continues today.
